Bruno

June 25th, 2009

While talking on the phone today I came up with this little fella named Bruno. He seems to be the perfect Character for building a fast and simple Character Rig and do some little animation stuff. Let’s see where this is heading…

Awards Awards Awards!

May 28th, 2009

On the occasion of its third birthday the German longboard community longboardz.de arranged a little competition - members were asked to create an image which depicted the spirit of the birthday party which had taken place in berlin. The prize for the best picture was an Olson & Hekmati Pintail Deck - guess who’s the owner now :)

interactive blackboards project

March 11th, 2009

For Vaillant’s trade fair appearance on ISH 2009 in Frankfurt we created some so-called interactive blackboards at rmh. They were aimed at supporting Vaillant’s engineers in explaining their newest innovations.
I was responsible for the conception as regards content and the design.

A look back at Siggraph

September 14th, 2008

Nearly a full month passed already since Siggraph took place but I simply didn’t have time to post something earlier. As there was so much going on I didn’t have time to watch the Computer Animation Festival screenings nearly as often as I would have liked to. Anyways, I saw some really good films, here for example the websites of two movies I enormously enjoyed, mostly because of their look: Tarboy and My Happy End.

Further highlights of the conference were the Autodesk Masterclass of Pixar’s Matthew Luhn about Story Development, the screenings of the shorts Glago’s Guest by Walt Disney- and Presto by Pixar Animation Studios and of course the Softimage party with a performance of the one and only Vanilla Ice!

Yeeha, all of those “will I take two or three pairs of pants?” decisions are made and I am looking forward to spending the next weeks in L.A. It’ll be the first time I am attending the Siggraph and I am quite excited about it - there are so many cool events taking place at the same time that I already do not now which ones to visit on the first day of the conference. The only thing which is certain is that I won’t have time to attend the “How to attend Siggraph” class. Seems like I have to learn it the hard way….
